How to take sound bites out of the recorded wave files

On the DAW in the Production Studio you will see an icon (shortcut)  to the disk copy machine

By double clicking the icon you will see a window like below. Find the folder and the actual game you wish to grab sound bites from.

RIGHT click (use the right mouse button) to bring up a menu and choose copy. Then paste it to your desktop or simply drag the file to your "desktop"

It can take a few minutes to copy the file to the computer you are working from.

Once the file has finished copying to Your desktop, "right click" the file. Slide down to "send to"  and over to Cool Edit as shown below.

Click Cool Edit  to open the file in Cool Edit

When opening the file  it can take a few minutes to open.

Once the file is open  the screen will look like the image below.

Zoom in and find the selection of audio that you wish to save as a sound bite by "Highlighting"

(Repeat this and the steps below for each sound bit)

Choose the "File" menu and click the "Save selection" choice

Be sure to save your selections somewhere that You know  how to find it again. (preferably the sports folder on the z drive)

Also be certain the file is in "wav (Windows PCM)" format

IMPORTANT!!!  When you complete your work delete the file(s) on the "desktop" that you copied from the DiskCopy computer!
